Volunteering in the NHS
There are opportunities to spend time volunteering in the NHS. The amount of time that you can volunteer for can be flexible to suit you. Roles include things like helping out with extra care for patients or giving more support to teams.
For further information about volunteering, you can get in touch with one of the local NHS trusts below. Clicking on the name of each one will take you to their website (opens in a new window):
- Airedale NHS Foundation Trust (Airedale Hospital)
- Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust (they run mental health services and district nursing services out in our community)
- Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (Bradford Royal Infirmary and St Luke’s Hospital)
We also provide support for people who wish to volunteer and who might have barriers to doing so. There are training and development opportunities available for individuals, and we work with local voluntary and community services to create volunteering opportunities in the community. If you wish to find out more about these, please get in touch with our patient engagement team by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
