Four specialist hubs, set up to help people with symptoms of coronavirus see their GP, are changing the way they work from Monday 3 August 2020.
The temporary hubs, set up in April 2020, located in Silsden, Shipley, Manningham and Horton Bank Top, are for people who are showing symptoms of coronavirus, or who are self-isolating as part of a household, and need to see their GP face to face about an urgent health concern.
From 3 August 2020, the three hubs in Bradford and district – Shipley, Manningham and Horton Bank Top – will relocate to one hub at Hillside Bridge Health Centre (BD3 0BS). Patients in the Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven area will be advised by their GP practice, where they should attend.
The hubs are not walk in centres and are only for people who are showing symptoms of coronavirus, or who are self-isolating as part of a household. These hubs should only be visited by patients who have been offered an appointment, following a telephone or video consultation by their GP practice.
Patients whose usual GP practice was allocated as a specialist hub, continue to be able to access services as their practice was located elsewhere. Over the next few weeks, patients at the following GP practices will be advised when services will be resumed from the following locations:
- Horton Bank Top, BD7 4PL
- Manningham Health Centre (Clarendon main site), BD8 7SY
- Shipley Medical, BD18 3EG
- Silsden Medical Practice, BD20 0JG
People should continue to contact their GP practice over the phone or via their GP practice website first.
So far, over 600 patients who either showed symptoms of coronavirus, or who were self-isolating as part of a household, have been seen by a GP face to face at one of these specialist hubs.
