One of the priorities of the CCG medicines optimisation team is medicines safety.
The team work closely with colleagues in both primary and secondary care to support any medicines safety issues including those shared by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
Below are some resources which relate to medicines safety for the use of emollient skin creams that patients may find useful.
- GOV.UK guidance – safe use of emollient skin creams to treat dry skin conditions (opens in a new window)
- GOV.UK A5 PDF leaflet – skin creams alert (opens in a new window)
