Improving your health
We want to make it easier for everyone in Bradford district and Craven to live a healthier, more active life. This means encouraging and helping people make good choices for themselves and their families. There are lots of websites and apps available to help you manage your health and wellbeing, listed below are a number of trusted sites.
The NHS website
The NHS has one website – www.nhs.uk (opens in a new window) – where you can find a trusted health A-Z, a medicines A-Z and a services finder.
The One You website – www.nhs.uk/oneyou (opens in a new window) – has lots of free information and support to help you get healthier and feel better. It includes information for mind (called Every Mind Matters) and body, as well as recommended apps.
You can visit the Living Well website – mylivingwell.co.uk (opens in a new window) – which has lots of advice and information to help you be healthier and more active. Living Well also has information about local services and activities that you can get involved in, as well as a Healthy Living quiz to help you recognise where you might be able to make improvements to your health and wellbeing.
The Living Well website has lots of information about smoking, mental health and wellbeing, eating well, drugs and alcohol, eating well, getting enough exercise and long term conditions (such as asthma).
Living Well is run by Bradford Council, in partnership with our Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), and local voluntary and community sector organisations.
